My First Christmas Gift

This year will be my first time not spending christmas at home. So, I'm not expecting gifts, but hey... its only the 1oth and I got my first present!! Its Basic Grey Christmas papers and a handmade card from Marlene !! Woohoo~~~ ^^ She's sending out mostly printed cards this year that I'm so so honored and touched that I receive one of her handmade cards... and in my favourite color!! She also packaged everything well. Check out that paper bag.. hehehe ^^ Thank you Marlene. You made my day :) The Card Basic Grey Papers! And I received these pins @ work today. They are going into my Starbucks collection. Aren't they pretty? I just love all the starbucks designs :)

Now it's starting to feel like christmas

Yawn~~~~~~~~ Finally, I started making my christmas cards this year. I know its really really late already! It's already December and i JUST started.. gosh! With my rest day today, I tried my best to make as many as I could. I manage to make 12 cards tonight. ^^ Not bad, ...not bad at all (well for my pace, this is considered pretty fast :p) As always, I love Christmas and is very excited about it. Guess that's where my inspirations come from. Tonight has been a luxury night for me - playing some classical jazzy christmas music and making cards. I even met my best buddy online and got to chat. Hehe... Enjoyed myself to the max ^^ Since its so late already, I'm lazy to take pictures and post it up. Guess I'll wait till morning tomorrow and do that. Till then, I've taken some sneak peek shots to show you guys first :) Hope you'll enjoy the pictures as much as I do making them ^^ ... Goodnight.

November Cards for my Partners

I made 2 belated birthday cards for my partners :) Seems to have warmed up a bit. Quite happy with the cheerful outcome and sense of humor in the cards ^^ This is for my boss who helped me out in fixing my pc after my hard drive kong out. He adviced me how to buy new hardware and offered to format my pc for me. Saved me quite some money there.... I really appreciated it and made him this card. I love this quotation. With my intention and plans to move back next year, my journey in Starbucks Pyramid will be brief but not shallow as measured by the great friends I've made here.

Thank You Cards

These are some more cards I made in November, requested by a friend who's leaving his company. Having to rush through the cards, I was kinda under a dry inspiration spell. :( Not that satisfied with the outcome. Hehe..

Birthday Card Fresh from the Oven

Got my rest day again and finally got to make some cards.. and perhaps blog a little :p Been busy lately till I totally forgot this order. Oops! Neways, this is a birthday card for a client's mom, in my favourite color ^^ She told me that her mom likes baking and so I got the inspiration to make a recipe for "Mama's Birthday Cake". I hope she'll like it :)

My Somewhat Productive Rest Day

Yesterday was my rest day and I spent my day relaxing and making this conversation and bulletin board for our store. I got the inspiration from our coffee stickers to make coffee tags which will be used to clip our notices like you're hanging your cloths. I made the board coffee color too to give a more coffee taste to it. Hehehe... Close up's of the board titles and coffee pegs. Aren't the stickers just lovely? I love them so much! And the logo pegs and 5 Be's Cards. Every Starbucks partners has a green apron book introducing the 5 Be's: Be Welcoming Be Genuine Be Knowledgeable Be Considerate Be Involved All partners are to practice these 5 Be's and to encourage other partners to do so. And when one observe another partner practicing one of these 5 Be's, he/she could award the partner by presenting that particular "Be" card with a personal note at the back saying how the partner has practiced it and how it's being appreciated. I'm Certified! ^^

Some more experiences in Starbucks to share here :) I was certified barista last Sunday (a little later than expected, but YEAH!) I went through training (theory, class and practical) for a month. After training is done, my store manager, MJ, did the final certification by asking me to make the four core starbucks drinks - cappucino, latte, mocha and caramel macchiato. He also asked me other questions... to make sure I know what I've learnt in the past 1 month. And then.. whoalah! I'm a certified Starbucks barista! ^^ Oh, and just some other random pictures about starbucks which I took. This is a coffee passport and we have stickers for each coffee to stick in it. Obviously I collected more :P I just love stickers! Haha... And this is my partner Simone washing the bar mat, armed with her special water-proofed apron. Hehehe.
