Tea Time with Family (Part 6)

Today followed Marlene to Curtin for a card making class. Meant to take some pictures...... Brot my camera BUT forgot my memory stick. So...... just gonna put this one pic here, taken by Yee Boon...I really like this pic...we are raising our hands and feet because we are kaki tangan kaki tangan...!! Hehehe.... You can read more about the class with pictures here . ^^ Reaching home after class, my parents suddenly ada mood for tea and mooncakes..... so for the first time we had tea in our 'garden'.... relaxing..... hehehe...... i have never been a mooncake person but i enjoyed the moment :)

Card Making Workshop @ Pandan - The Productions

Ok, here comes the detailed photos. First let me show you our messy work station. Haha. Thinking what good could come out of this mess?? Taaadddaaahhhh...................... I'm very pleased with all of them ^^ They really show heart in making them. Not only that, they show creativity too. If you compare their cards with mine, most of them are way different already. Even those who decided to follow my layout, they made an initiative effort to change something - like stamp the words in the middle, shift the scallop, tilt the patterned paper a bit... I wouldn't have thought of some of the ways they did the layout and color combination. Many even recycled the scallope-punched paper too because they think its too nice to throw away (*touched*) And talking about scallops, a little thank you note to Marlene for helping me get the punches for and to Marcus for the trouble of bringing them back for me ^^. The scallop and circle combination plays a significant role in these lovely card...

Card Making Workshop @ Pandan - Work in Progress

14th March 2009 - I had my first proper card making workshop at church with 18 'students' (not bad ey?). We did stamping, punching and embossing. We made these cards to give to our evangelical members (adult and kids) as an encouragement to them. So its really a one stone shoot two birds thingy - where they will get the nice cards and encouragement, and we get the fun (well, at least what i believe for most of us ;p) Here are some pictures to share. Card Making Workshop @ Pandan - Preparation

I'll be giving a workshop at Pandan Youth Fellowship tonight and thought of sharing my preparation process here ^^. Since the valentines card swap, brothers and sisters have shown interest in card making and our president suggested that I open a class. So I accepted and this is will be what I'm going to teach tonight. I'm going to teach stamping, embossing, punching and ribbon tying. Card Stock: Mud Pie, Stone, French Vanilla Patterned Paper: Urban Lily - Pretty in Pink, American Crafts - Sixth Avenue, Write Out Collection - Promenade Pinwheel, Write Out Collection - Promenade Petticoat Stamps: Jehovah Blessings (self designed), SU - Enjoy Every Moment Ink: Versa Color - White, Versa Chalk - Gingerbread Others: White embossing powder, black ribbon with silver edge, scallop punch, 1" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, L sized edge punch, heat tool, lighter So I chose brown as the main color as it's easy to match and it just goes with everything else.
