I have a dream

I have a dream!! (quote Mandela :p) I have always been a big dreamer (both day and night :p). If I had to describe myself, I would say: a small town girl with big dreams. I used to believe that music was biggest dream. I even came all the way to the big city to pursue it - not quite there yet, but believe me I'm getting there. But then lately, I realize I have a bigger vision/dream and its not music. Ya..... OUCH! after all the effort I have spent on music. No effort will be wasted, but I do regret I didnt started my other bigger dream earlier. Actually its not exactly a 'bigger' dream lah, I just realize I find it more important and more meaningful, that's all.

Ok, enough blabbering, get to the point!.. Haha. I have a dream that my cards can touch people. I have never been and probably never will be good in talking. Many a times I want to comfort / encourage people but when I open my mouth, all that comes out is 'blah' and nothing really useful. I tried working on it, but still doesnt work :( Therefore, I have a dream - that I can use my cards to care for people, starting with my circle of friends and family, then slowly into society. I hope my cards can encourage, comfort, inspire and motivate people. May my dream, in God's will, come true someday :)

Oh, by the way, the photo is an autograph by Tony Fernandes, the CEO of Airasia. I met him on the flight back from Singapore during one of my business trips. Thanks Tony :)

Everything starts from a dream. I am glad you are a dreamer and may God grant you the desires of your heart as promised in "Psalm 37:4
Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart." Grab this one, God is a man of His Word. By the way, continue to dream...I haven't stop and today God just granted me one of my heart's desires. Hallelujah!! May God bless you more, my dear girl. I REALLY LOVE what you are doing.

Scrapbooking Stores in Malaysia

Last updated 14th March 2014 I first did this research back in 2008.  I was very surprised and excited to find scrapbooking and craft shops blooming in Malaysia. I'm still grateful that we Malaysians are able to have have access to buy these supplies today.  I hope we will be able to get more and more brands into Malaysia.  ^^ I don't mind sharing these info as I believe "Sharing is Caring" and I would love to see more Malaysian crafters coming out with lovely production to enhance our local crafting market.  Also, I hope you all would pass on the information to other fellow beginners ^^ Anyways, this is a recent update I did of the shops I know/found.  Don't think its complete though.  Some are shops that I've personally found and visited while others are from research and some are recommended by friends or readers of my blog.  And from my very own personal experience, some of my personal favourite shops (in no particular order) are as belo...

The Power of Positive Thinking

WARNING: This is a Looooooong Post :P I'm reading a book titled "The Power of Positive Thinking" by Norman Vincent Peale. Actually this is a book i bought on 20th July, 2002 and didn't finish it for some reasons that I don't remember. Then lately, out of the blue, I took it out to read it all over again, hopefully being able to finish it this time :P Neways, that's the history of the book and me. I'm at chapter 2 now and I came across a very unique practice of a man. It reads: It is possible, even in the midst of your daily work, to drive confident thoughts into consciousness. Let me tell you about one man who did so by the use of a unique method. One icy winter morning he called for me at a hotel in a Midwestern city to take me about thirty-five miles to another town to fill a lecture engagement. We got into his car and started off at a rather high rate of speed on the slippery road. He was going a little faster than I thought reasonable, and I reminded h...

Taiwan (Taipei) Trip 2013

We had a visit to Taipei September 2013, mainly to visit an old friend of my dad, Uncle Nam Boo and his wife.  It was a first time to Taiwan for all of us (mum, dad, sis and me).  Since Aunty Xiao Lan is a local, they KNOW where to bring us, for beautiful places and good food.  They even shared their home with us so we didn't have to worry about accomodation and drove us almost EVERYWHERE, so we didn't have to worry about transport.  Also they applied leave from work so they could bring us around.  We were really touched by their gestures and also we enjoyed spending time with them.  It was such an enjoyable and memorable trip that we all look forward to visit Taiwan again.     I compiled our travel pictures into 2 photobooks (as slides below) and plan to give them one set a thank you gift.  I designed the photobook using Photobook Malaysia  and the Snapshot ready template.  First thought of sharing as pictures, but the...
