My Farewell Party

Yorker Sdn Bhd - I've been working in this company for the past two and a half years. I've learnt and grew a lot (in knowledge, and maybe size, AHEM~) in this company. After decided to leave and to pursue my dreams (yea, finally got the gutts to do it...*wink*) this is a farewell party they threw me last Friday. It was a simple but very delicious, casual lunch.

And not only lunch, but also I received the most touching gifts. First is a paper weight from the workshop - modified from our company's very first badge of man hole handle. It's engraved with Yorker's brand on top, very very nice. Knowing that I like playing the piano, my second gift is a crystal music box in shape of a grand piano from my colleagues. My very first grand piano!!! Woohoo!! ^^ And this is the best part - there is a picture of the engineering team and company logo embedded on the grand piano! It's really sweet of them to get me something so memorable in the form of something I really like. And I also got this lovely card handmade by one of my colleagues, Ilyana.

I'm really thankful to have had worked in this company and I shall never forget my experiences here. ^^

Scrapbooking Stores in Malaysia

Last updated 14th March 2014 I first did this research back in 2008.  I was very surprised and excited to find scrapbooking and craft shops blooming in Malaysia. I'm still grateful that we Malaysians are able to have have access to buy these supplies today.  I hope we will be able to get more and more brands into Malaysia.  ^^ I don't mind sharing these info as I believe "Sharing is Caring" and I would love to see more Malaysian crafters coming out with lovely production to enhance our local crafting market.  Also, I hope you all would pass on the information to other fellow beginners ^^ Anyways, this is a recent update I did of the shops I know/found.  Don't think its complete though.  Some are shops that I've personally found and visited while others are from research and some are recommended by friends or readers of my blog.  And from my very own personal experience, some of my personal favourite shops (in no particular order) are as below: Scr

The Power of Positive Thinking

WARNING: This is a Looooooong Post :P I'm reading a book titled "The Power of Positive Thinking" by Norman Vincent Peale. Actually this is a book i bought on 20th July, 2002 and didn't finish it for some reasons that I don't remember. Then lately, out of the blue, I took it out to read it all over again, hopefully being able to finish it this time :P Neways, that's the history of the book and me. I'm at chapter 2 now and I came across a very unique practice of a man. It reads: It is possible, even in the midst of your daily work, to drive confident thoughts into consciousness. Let me tell you about one man who did so by the use of a unique method. One icy winter morning he called for me at a hotel in a Midwestern city to take me about thirty-five miles to another town to fill a lecture engagement. We got into his car and started off at a rather high rate of speed on the slippery road. He was going a little faster than I thought reasonable, and I reminded h
