Card Making with Marlene Again (Miri Life Part 17)

23.09.09 Wednesday Afternoon

Went to Marlene's house 'again' to return her tools and also to hand her the love station cards. Visiting Marlene's house used to be an annual family thingy during Chinese New Year. I remembered being excited to see the peacocks then ^^ Neways, for this holiday, I lose count of the times I visited her place. Haha.

Chun Sian came over too to make some cards. He wanted to make some thank you cards for his grandma who wanted to use them to thank the people who cared and prayed while his grand dad was sick. The thought is so sweet and so are the cards.

Then we goofed around a bit while taking group pictures. I tried to look like Chun Sian. What do you think? How many % alike? Haha.

Then we had our serious group photo. Hehehe.

I needed to make a wedding card for daddy. Thanks to Marlene, I got to make another nice card at her place. I really have fun playing with her stuff ^^ She says the cards I make using her tools got her style a bit. I think so too. My first monotone card! hahaha... I'm happy with this!

Scrapbooking Stores in Malaysia

Last updated 14th March 2014 I first did this research back in 2008. I was very surprised and excited to find scrapbooking and craft shops blooming in Malaysia. I'm still grateful that we Malaysians are able to have have access to buy these supplies today. I hope we will be able to get more and more brands into Malaysia. ^^ I don't mind sharing these info as I believe "Sharing is Caring" and I would love to see more Malaysian crafters coming out with lovely production to enhance our local crafting market. 1st Day in Starbucks

Finally, I stepped over to the other side of the bar as a barista. Woohoo!! My first day in Starbucks! Wow, so many things to learn, so many people to know, so many things to see, observe and remember. This is the most exciting first day ever! I had my first impression (introduction to the company), filled in tonnes of forms, and got a handbook (like an inch thick) which has to be completed within 28 days. Haven't done homework or assignment in years! We did coffee tasting too - Latin American House Blend ^^ Then for the on-the-job training, I got to make 3 cold beverages - vanilla latte, mango passion fruit frap, and ice blended mocha. These names are supposed to be called systematically, which I have yet to learn. And by the way, my whipped cream looked like shit but my training coach said "Ok la!" ^^ Hopefully it wont take too many shitty looking ones until I get it right.
