My Birthday - Part 2

I had my birthday dinner with Young Dreams @ Nando's Pavillion KL. I've had Nando's once and I was craving for its peri peri taste. So we decided to have dinner there. Also, out of coincidence that Ahui was in town for a training conference. Pity him to rush here though. He looked really tired. After dinner, we went for a movie - Tale of Despereaux. Very very cute mouse. Love the animation and graphics. Neways, I'm grateful for Young Dreams, who has never failed to remember my birthday :) I thank God for bringing us together and our friendship all these years. Here are some pictures to share. I got more pictures at Ah Hui's camera. Will update again. Stay tuned ^^

Iggy & Yvonne got me a very sweet gift. First of all, really nice wrapping paper :) The present is nothing fancy and nothing expensive (I think the frame didnt cost much), but I'll treasure it. You'll understand why later as you read along :) The gift is a picture we (Young Dreams) took recently in Miri, couple days before Chinese New Year. Being scattered around in Miri and KL all these years, we hardly could gather with all 6 of us together, let alone get a complete picture. This year, by God's grace, we had the chance to meet up and take a complete picture. Time flies and wow, its been 10 years already! Over the years, many things have changed - our life, our partners, our job, our 'size' (oops :P), our goals, our perspectives..... but some things remain the same. Our friendship didnt change, our determination to pursue our dreams didnt change and definitely our pose didnt change! Hahaha. 10 years already and still that 'cow' pose!! I wonder how we'd look like as we pose like this when we are seventy! Oh, special thanks for Yvonne for taking this lovely picture for us. This is precious. I've put it on my desk, where I spend 80% of my time at home. :)

Also later I realized, this picture is our last picture of Young Dreams as 6 singles. Few days after this picture was taken, Ruidi got married :) Congrats dude.

Scrapbooking Stores in Malaysia

Last updated 14th March 2014 I first did this research back in 2008.  I was very surprised and excited to find scrapbooking and craft shops blooming in Malaysia. I'm still grateful that we Malaysians are able to have have access to buy these supplies today.  I hope we will be able to get more and more brands into Malaysia.  ^^ I don't mind sharing these info as I believe "Sharing is Caring" and I would love to see more Malaysian crafters coming out with lovely production to enhance our local crafting market.  Also, I hope you all would pass on the information to other fellow beginners ^^ Anyways, this is a recent update I did of the shops I know/found.  Don't think its complete though.  Some are shops that I've personally found and visited while others are from research and some are recommended by friends or readers of my blog.  And from my very own personal experience, some of my personal favourite shops (in no particular order) are as belo...

The Power of Positive Thinking

WARNING: This is a Looooooong Post :P I'm reading a book titled "The Power of Positive Thinking" by Norman Vincent Peale. Actually this is a book i bought on 20th July, 2002 and didn't finish it for some reasons that I don't remember. Then lately, out of the blue, I took it out to read it all over again, hopefully being able to finish it this time :P Neways, that's the history of the book and me. I'm at chapter 2 now and I came across a very unique practice of a man. It reads: It is possible, even in the midst of your daily work, to drive confident thoughts into consciousness. Let me tell you about one man who did so by the use of a unique method. One icy winter morning he called for me at a hotel in a Midwestern city to take me about thirty-five miles to another town to fill a lecture engagement. We got into his car and started off at a rather high rate of speed on the slippery road. He was going a little faster than I thought reasonable, and I reminded h...

Taiwan (Taipei) Trip 2013

We had a visit to Taipei September 2013, mainly to visit an old friend of my dad, Uncle Nam Boo and his wife.  It was a first time to Taiwan for all of us (mum, dad, sis and me).  Since Aunty Xiao Lan is a local, they KNOW where to bring us, for beautiful places and good food.  They even shared their home with us so we didn't have to worry about accomodation and drove us almost EVERYWHERE, so we didn't have to worry about transport.  Also they applied leave from work so they could bring us around.  We were really touched by their gestures and also we enjoyed spending time with them.  It was such an enjoyable and memorable trip that we all look forward to visit Taiwan again.     I compiled our travel pictures into 2 photobooks (as slides below) and plan to give them one set a thank you gift.  I designed the photobook using Photobook Malaysia  and the Snapshot ready template.  First thought of sharing as pictures, but the...
