Farewell Amabel

Can't believe time flies so quickly that she has to go abroad to study already. It's been a pleasure having her on board in brewhouse. It's great working with her because she is humbled, fun, observant and helpful.  She is also generous, always buying and bringing in stuff for us. Really love the stamp she got me. They are perfect for my planner and postcards. She will definitely be missed and looking forward to the day when she becomes a good pharmacist.  ^^ P/s: gosh I'm really bad in selfies XD

Milk Hunt

Our store was running out of milk. While I was working and couldn't go out myself, my sister and daddy help went out to supermarkets to help me hunt and buy milk. Feel so pampered and blessed.

Take Life One Cup at a Time

Take life one cup at a time. Today's devotional notes: God loves me in my brokenness.  Having to struggle all my life accepting myself, this is so comforting and assuring to know.   The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.  Psalm 34:18 NIV  Happy Monday guys!

My Idea of a Perfect Breakfast

My kind of perfect brekky - egg McMuffin with chicken roll, hash brown and piccolo latte...... Just found out about piccolo latte and immediately it became my new favourite.  Unlike regular latte which is a little too milky for me, this is JUST RIGHT.....Aaahh......Sooooo good!  Have a good weekend guys!! ^^  p/s: if you're wondering what a piccolo latte is, it's a ristretto shot (15 – 20 ml) topped with warm, silky milk served in a 100 ml glass demitasse (small latte glass) … basically, a baby latte, as the Italian pronunciation suggests.

I like BIG Cups!

Tried pouring into a BIG cup today and its surprisingly easier to get a pattern because I have more space and allowance to pour.  With my current speed and reflexes, the small cup fills up quickly before I can manage to get the foam out.  Lovin' this!!  Quote inspiration:  http://www.pinterest.com/pin/485685141037951876/

My Coffee Making Journey

Just thought of sharing a little thought of my coffee making journey ^^  Have to keep reminding myself that its not perfect but it's OKAY! Hahaha..... Also when it comes to coffee beauty,  I have the same point of view as in how I see beauty for a person, i.e what's on the inside (taste) counts more on the outside :)  Inspired by a quote on this page actually   http://www.pinterest.com/pin/485685141037943470/ Also I made some coffee posters for our FB page, just thought of sharing it here too.  Modified from quotes I find inspiring on pinterest.   Inspiration link:  http://www.pinterest.com/pin/485685141037932483/ Inspiration link:  http://www.pinterest.com/pin/485685141037932472/  and  http://www.pinterest.com/pin/485685141037929569/

Random #8

Check out my awesome dinner today!! Fried fish, boiled broccoli & cauliflower, and steamed rice.  Thanks to Mom~! ALL are my favourites!!  So awesome!  Forgot to take picture of my lunch though.  So glad to have a proper meal day~! (as in homecooked and nothing processed) ^^  And oh, I tried making coffee jelly at the store.  Got my recipe here:  http://en.ilovecoffee.jp/posts/view/140 Pretty cool site.  I learnt a lot here ^^ And here is the outcome.  Presenting my first attempt of coffee jelly (made using Brewhouse supremo beans brewed aeropress way) topped with whipped cream, espresso grinds, and sugared chocolate powder.  Not bad I would say, not bad ^^

Rest Day :)

My rest day started off with jolly good brekkie - mom's homemade pancakes and fresh coffee~! (forgot take picture of coffee though)  Then I tidied my craft room.... I checked the last time I did some major organizing was March 12th ! Gosh, has it been that long already?  Well this time is not much difference from the last because I haven't been maintaining much after I started working and plus we had a termite attack which was rather disastrous which caused us to take down a few walls, got the whole house treated (hence everything cluttered to the middle of every room, imagine that!!) and repainted/rebuilt some walls........ neways, I'm pretty happy with the outcome today : )  A little more determined to make it a comfy place to work, a place to be able to be inspired.  Well, I'll blog about it if I make progress, then again, fingers crossed.. hehe....   Then for dinner, grandma made some awesome pork belly fried with wine.  She kinda purpo...

First Full Day at Store

Today is my first full day in store. It's also my first time to hold the key and open the shutters. Menu is up and lovin' it.  Spent the day cleaning, displaying our products on the island and shelves (I enjoyed the display part), then training, training and training again in the freezing cold.  Yes, the new mall air conditioning is making me frozen and I'm wondering if anyone wana build a snowman. After displaying, I must say these bad boys (the coffee machines) do look good with their shining outlook under the warm lights.  And some might say the display shelves are half empty but I choose to see it as half full. ^^ Anyways, it has been a fruitful, productive and also handsful day.  Time to recharge for another awesome day tomorrow. Jia you! We are getting there! ^^ can't wait!
