The grief of loss is the price we pay for the gift of love. - Josh Groban.  Saw this quote in Josh Groban's instagram post when he lost his old dog, Sweeney.  I find it soooo true.  I'm grieving the loss of Ah Po because of the love we shared.  In fact, it's probably the stronger the love, the deeper the grief.  This gave me new eyes and heart to allow and welcome the grief, because it's only the proof of something precious I have and treasure, i.e the love :)  So, the grief of loss is the price we pay for the gift of love.  If I have to do it again, I'll give my all to love again. I'm willing to pay the price again.  And I'm learning to be thankful for both because they only make me human.  Two days ago I made this dish while missing Ah Po - three layered pork with fermented bean curds (Furu) and fucuk.  She used to make this when I was little.  I wasn't a big fan of it because it's sweet, but it just reminds me of her.  Her t...

这是第一次出门，不需要买东西给阿婆了。看到好多想买给阿婆的东西，但是没有必要了。 第一次出门，少了一份紧张，那份回家看阿婆的紧张。虽然没有紧张，但牵挂依然在。只是以前这份牵挂，回去看到阿婆就会不见了。但这次不知如何处理。 这次也是第一次出门，再没有阿婆等我回家。我。。。好像自由了。只是这份自由加了一点失落。

今天在IDMC听道说要把基础建立在耶稣里，不是求storm free but storm proof life. 上帝，是不是风浪要来了？ 可以给多一点时间打稳基础吗？ 虽然会害怕失去， 但我深信神掌管明天，祂掌權， 而且祂比我更愛阿婆， 祂的意念永远高过我们的意念。

1. Thank God my off day fell on a public holiday so I can be home when my sister is home (I barely see her when I'm working) and our whole family can have dinner together.  Also thank God for a good boss who didn't request me to go back work today because it was a busy day. 2. Thank God I'm healthy where I can cook for my family and help out with chores around the house. 3. Thank God for the cool comfy rainy weather. 4. Thank God Ah Po still can walk on her own and go out with us.  Thank God for good parking spaces whenever I bring Ah Po out.  I KNOW these are NOT coincidence. 5. Thank God parents back from Marudi trip safely and heard stories of how they had a good time there. 6. Thank God for parents' close friends esp Uncle Choo Sin and Uncle De Xin family who occassionally drop by our place to hang out with my parents and giving us lots of joy and laughter and good company. 7. Thank God for:  1. This awesome snack made by my sister.  My late night after work supper. 2. My dog gave birth safely to 5 puppies today. 3. Ah po who is well aware of my whereabouts and even what time I go to bed.  My off days are often booked by her to do this do that.  And she will nag me ask me do this do that.  Even though it can be annoying at times when she nags a lot and often I feel obligated to share my off day with her, but I'm glad she does cause this means she is well and her mind is still very clear.  she is aware when her stuff is finishing and need to stock up.  She still can hand wash her own cloths.  She still can water the plants and pretty much take care of herself.   She often still wana cook a dish for us.  Even though it can be quite troublesome preparing everything for her just the way she wants it, I'm vry glad she still feels like doing something and making things for people. I'm very very thankful for ...

Celebrated her 80th birthday today.  Thank God for another year of togetherness.  He is good.  Love the pictures, love the smiles.  Praying for more to come :)

  Speaking of mooncake fes, I missed family dinner last weekend due to work.  But I'm touched my family delivered dinner to me.  It has grandma's awesome wine chicken and mom's lotus peanut soup.  And I made coffee jelly desserts for them.  Tried toffeenut, hazelnut, vanilla latte coffee jelly this time on top of the black coffee.  Feedback was good ^^  Then after dinner, Uncle Bernard and family visited :)  Happy mooncake fes everyone.  May you all have a great family time.  Have a blessed one.   And speaking of family, I miss my 'family' in KL.  Picture taken mooncake fes 2008 and just realized it was the same day as today (8th Sept 2014).

My rest day started off with jolly good brekkie - mom's homemade pancakes and fresh coffee~! (forgot take picture of coffee though)  Then I tidied my craft room.... I checked the last time I did some major organizing was March 12th ! Gosh, has it been that long already?  Well this time is not much difference from the last because I haven't been maintaining much after I started working and plus we had a termite attack which was rather disastrous which caused us to take down a few walls, got the whole house treated (hence everything cluttered to the middle of every room, imagine that!!) and repainted/rebuilt some walls........ neways, I'm pretty happy with the outcome today : )  A little more determined to make it a comfy place to work, a place to be able to be inspired.  Well, I'll blog about it if I make progress, then again, fingers crossed.. hehe....   Then for dinner, grandma made some awesome pork belly fried with wine.  She kinda purpo...

I wonder how many people have friends who lives up to 90 years old?  This guy here is my first.  He didn't want to give a speech for his birthday, he wanted to sing!! My gosh, he blew everyone away with a whole song! And look who's got the Mic? Haha! I don't think I've seen her with a Mic before.. today kena wat!! Hahaha   Almost everyone shared something.  They are so so so cute and these smiley faces are really some awesome stress relievers.

阿婆最喜欢，也最疼的传道人结婚咯！因为行动不便，容易累，好难得她肯去参加婚礼。不但如此，还肯上楼上观礼。散会后，还很耐心的在楼下等他们在楼上拍完了照下来一起拍照。 一句怨言，一句问题都没有。超难得！对我们都没那么有耐心。哈哈哈!  但看见她那么用心，那么疼爱传道人，我还挺感动的。能见证他们的婚礼，听他们一路来的爱情故事也是个感动。愿神祝福他们的婚姻，常有神的爱，恩典，引领，也成为身边人的祝福。恭喜‘虎传道和虎传道老婆’ ！ （阿婆是这样称呼他们的）呵呵。。。
