Yet another rest day project ^^

This is probably the last rest day I get to laze around. The next rest day I'll need to start packing up my stuff... yea, got tonnes of crap!...

Since today is 'relaxing' day, I decided to assemble this keroro thingy which I got from Chia as a birthday present like ages ago. So with my christmas music (yep, its still christmas for me :P), my diluted cup of joy tea, and the quiet night.... I put this keroro to life ^^
The parts
Finished ^^
Met BB gundam.... oops~! :P
and the rest of the family (seems to fit in well..... ^^)

With just a blink, tomorrow will be the last day of 2009. Wow...time really flies. I have my rest day today..and ended up wasted almost a day stoning and watching 'friends'. As the evening drew near and the construction noise starts to fade away, I figured I need to quiet down too and review my life in 2009. Tomorrow will be a busy day with work, so I don't think I'll have time for 'quietness'. So, with my cup of joy tea, I meditated today. However, honestly, i feel the distance as if my prayer just bounce off the ceiling... you know, one of those days where you pray hard and feels nothing. Then half way through, you'll wonder "is He listening to me? should I go on?" Oh well, its ok I guess, because God is there and loves me no matter I feel it or not. Its a fact, not a feeling :)

Neways, as I think back to 2009, no doubt I find ups and downs, loneliness and happenings, heartbreaks and comforts, success and failures, satisfactions and disappointments etc....But throughout the year, I find that God leads, guides and truly cares what is happening to me. One of the most thankful thing that happened to me would be Starbucks. I've learnt to experience him most through Starbucks in the most little things.

In 2010, my life will go through another turning point as I move back to Miri. Whether its my career or my r.ship life, I'm unsure how the future will be. But I'm sure, God will continue to lead. I guess its another point in life I have to learn to let go and let God and choose to trust him , just like how I did when I decided to join Starbucks ^^. I never knew what would happen when I choose to make that turn, but turns out Starbucks has been the best damn thing that ever happened to me. I still can't believe I could actually live my life like this - doing what I love everyday~

Ok, long winded enough. To sum up, I'm gonna bring this scripture with me into 2010:
Trust GOD from the bottom of your heart;don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for GOD's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;he's the one who will keep you on track. Prov 3:5-6 (Msg)

Have a blessed new year :)

Continuing the post about my recycling project :) I wanted to share some love in my work place this christmas. So I use the recycling paper made from the Starbucks packaging papers and make some christmas bookmarks / mini cards. Hope they'll like it.

Another Rest Day Project

I've been collecting some packaging papers from Starbucks during work. These are normally being thrown away and I see their 'potential' to make pretty recycle paper. So I collected them and intend to make something pretty out of crap from the trash :)

Not completed yet. More to come. Stay tuned :p

Starbucks Random Pictures Again :p

I finished my shift early yesterday and stayed back to hang round... while doing do, I just snapped some pictures :p This is closing the BOH (Back of House), where we have to clean the grease trap, which is filled with wonderful slimy thingy and basically wash everything that a cafe partner slides :) Most partners get this on their first day as a 'welcome-to-the-store' thingy. ^^
Goofing Around :)
Boss so rajin ^^ Hahha... luckily not caught facebooking ^^
I love this T-shirt design. Christmas shirt of one of the pass years

My First Piano Teacher

Accidently bumped into my first piano teacher, Mei Lian Lao Shi, today! ^^ I was six when I started learning with her. She is a very very caring and patient teacher. For a lazy student like me, she never scolded me, but passionately taught me. I still remember spending the night at her place before my piano exam. She would take extra time to coach me, then drive me to exam next day, all the while taking care of my food, place to sleep etc. After my grade 4, she got married and moved to brunei. Since then, I've hardly seen her. She's one the best teachers you can ever find and I'm really glad I bumped into her today :)

Snail Mail from London

Received snail mail from Grace today...... christmas card all the way from London :) She's a friend who's always there when I needed someone. The distance and time difference has and will never stand in the way of our friendship, to share everything that we go through in our lives. I thank God for such a best friend :)

Thank you Gin Li & Merry Christmas to you too! ^^ I love the card, and appreciate the thought.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Whoops...! Last minute again :P This is something I prepared for the Christmas Swap organized by Agnes. Hehehe... Hope the partners (Shannon & Hoyoyi) will like my simple little gifts :) They both make lovely fabrics and knitted crafts. Oh, I admire people who can sew. It's such delicate work.

Till then, gotta go post these parcels and off to work.... Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas!!

Another kind of toy for me :)

The La Marzocco machine is the baby to manually make handcrafted espresso drinks. We have the automated Verismo in our store which is more convenient but with things automated there's not much skill required to making the coffee. To me, making coffee is an art and with the La Marzocco you can feel that. My boss knew I wanted to play with this machine and it was so thoughtful of him to bring me along to the Christmas party at Shah Alam today, where the store has a La Marzocco. I felt paisay to make more drinks other than the ordered drinks (wasting other people's cost ma... :p). So only made one order of Caramel Macchiato. The experience is totally awesome! I'm actually starting to miss it already... whu whu... Wish I had one of these babies at home to experiment myself.

Christmas in the Air

Some christmas cards I've made. Some given away, some for sale. ^^ More to come. Gonna rush for work now :) Have a nice weekend everyone!

Fun with New Christmas Papers!

I was so excited with my christmas present that I could wait any longer to get my hands on them. These are 2 cards I made with my new christmas papers last night. The papers are so nice already that I didn't need to design a lot. Hehe.
