I got a new collection~! ^^ Decided to start collecting these... and got WanLong who got to visit Taiwan for some student exchange program (still soooooo SUPER jealous lo~!!) to bring these back for me :D I really love Starbucks packaging ^^ Starbucks Cards!! ^^ and taiwanese receipts ^^ We met at tanjung to lim teh so he could pass me these :D My self-picture-taking skill really...... senget. Hahaha. If MingYung was here, the picture would have been MUCH better. Too bad he couldn't make it. And he bought this for me - an ornament of the native tribe there. Decided to goof around with the picture a bit. It's a song's lyrics :) Thank you WanLong for the help and the gift. Appreciate it very much :)

I chose to put 'no title' as the title for this post as there are no words to describe how I feel. I received the M.U.G award at work today. Very unexpected. Definitely assured and comforted. Award giving ceremony was casual, with only a few partners and our DM. Even then, of all the awards I've received in my life so far (including the vice chancellor's list award which I received twice in front of hundreds of people for achieving top 1% in the whole mechanical engineering course in curtin), never have I ever felt so overwhelmed........ inside. I truly treasure this award. Thank you Lord. The award pin :)

My rest day project - #117 Starbucks Partner CnC Board. Our existing board is kinda worn out and I offered to make one for our store. Bascially I'm using same idea with the one I made for SP2. Coffee pegs and all. Ryan was so sweet and thoughtful to offer to help. He came straight after work to my place to work on our project :) Carefully sticking the double sided tape and stick the boards together. Sticking the pegs :) Ryan came out with this title. I think it's pretty cool and creative! Almost done Finished @ store with the stickers Process of erecting the board ^^ And the board is up~! Got the closing partners to take pictures with it. Super cute kan? Hehehe... I thank God for the inspiration. Looking forward for more. This picture shows a moment/view that I've been praying for. Teamwork among partners and partners genuinely helping each other out. This was taken during closing shift. Partners who came for yamcha afterwards (those not in uniform) helped out with the closing tasks. With that, we closed twice or even triple as fast :) When I saw this, I couldn't help but smile to myself and took a picture. Thank you Lord ... for listening and for your assurance :) If only I could hug YOU to show how much I appreciate it. *Hugs~!*

I've been attempting latte art but always ended up with a big and round shape. Today is the first time I made something where the shape is obvious. Still much room for improvement but I'm SUPER excited! ^^ This is a common meal and drink I have during my working hours - double tall caramel latte and toffee nut muffin. I thank God for employee beverage and employee meals provided in Starbucks. I get to save quite a bit with this :)

I'm totally crazy about our new promotional drinks. I'm not normally a frappucino person but man, these are too damn good to resist~! Also, this SUPER HOT weather kinda makes me crave for them.. and I think it helps with our promotion too. Everybody's looking for something GOOODDD to chill :D Check out our Espresso and Cream Frappucino Blended Coffee - Coffee ice-blended with freshly ground espresso beans, topped with espresso whipped cream and espresso sprinkles :D If you're an espresso/coffee lover, this bad boy is what you need for a hot day ^^ Tips: things get better with chocolate chips :D I added chocolate chips to my strawberries and cream today... and the outcome? - OOOoooHH La Laaaaa~~~~~~ Berrylicious~!

New promo in da house - STRAWBERRIES!!!! Ice blended cream shaken with yummy strawberries puree and topped with whipped cream. ^^ Promotion remains till June and till then, this baby shall be THE FAVOURITE of my favourite drinks. To sum it up: Strawberries Indulgence = Absolute bliss~! ^^ *slurps*

My grandma and parents visited me in Starbucks today. Means a lot to me to have my grandma here. Even though I still don't get to personally make her a cup of coffee (she thinks its toooooo expensive and also she sure can't sleep), I'm contented already :D Got my parents to try out the new camomile tea though. Grandma in Starbucks.... ^^ Isn't she the coolest grandma EVER? ^^

Throughout all these years in KL, I've always taken taxi to the airport when I fly home. Unexpectedly, on my last trip, someone offers to drive me. *Touched* Thanks MJ, Ainee and Shih Yeen for accompanying me through the night and flying me off. and I hope Azura is feeling better already :( This is one of the most heavy heartfelt moments I've ever faced. I kinda expected myself to get emotional, esp when I'm alone at the airport already. But again, unexpectedly, I met 3 cute kids (of a brother in church) to keep me company until I had to board. And by the time I got on the plane I was so exhausted that I just doze off and had no energy to emo anymore :)

Had my last closing shift today. The sky was as grey as my feeling~ My final closing station..... Back of House (my favourite station)

With just a blink, tomorrow will be the last day of 2009. Wow...time really flies. I have my rest day today..and ended up wasted almost a day stoning and watching 'friends'. As the evening drew near and the construction noise starts to fade away, I figured I need to quiet down too and review my life in 2009. Tomorrow will be a busy day with work, so I don't think I'll have time for 'quietness'. So, with my cup of joy tea, I meditated today. However, honestly, i feel the distance as if my prayer just bounce off the ceiling... you know, one of those days where you pray hard and feels nothing. Then half way through, you'll wonder "is He listening to me? should I go on?" Oh well, its ok I guess, because God is there and loves me no matter I feel it or not. Continuing the post about my recycling project :) I wanted to share some love in my work place this christmas. So I use the recycling paper made from the Starbucks packaging papers and make some christmas bookmarks / mini cards. Hope they'll like it. Gotta get ready for work. I've been collecting some packaging papers from Starbucks during work. These are normally being thrown away and I see their 'potential' to make pretty recycle paper. So I collected them and intend to make something pretty out of crap from the trash :) Not completed yet. More to come. Stay tuned :p

I finished my shift early yesterday and stayed back to hang round... while doing do, I just snapped some pictures :p This is closing the BOH (Back of House), where we have to clean the grease trap, which is filled with wonderful slimy thingy and basically wash everything that a cafe partner slides :) Most partners get this on their first day as a 'welcome-to-the-store' thingy. ^^ Goofing Around :) Boss so rajin ^^ Hahha... luckily not caught facebooking ^^ I love this T-shirt design. The La Marzocco machine is the baby to manually make handcrafted espresso drinks. We have the automated Verismo in our store which is more convenient but with things automated there's not much skill required to making the coffee. To me, making coffee is an art and with the La Marzocco you can feel that. My boss knew I wanted to play with this machine and it was so thoughtful of him to bring me along to the Christmas party at Shah Alam today, where the store has a La Marzocco. I felt paisay to make more drinks other than the ordered drinks (wasting other people's cost ma... :p). So only made one order of Caramel Macchiato. The experience is totally awesome! I'm actually starting to miss it already... whu whu... Wish I had one of these babies at home to experiment myself.

This year will be my first time not spending christmas at home. So, I'm not expecting gifts, but hey... its only the 1oth and I got my first present!! Its Basic Grey Christmas papers and a handmade card from Marlene !! Woohoo~~~ ^^ She's sending out mostly printed cards this year that I'm so so honored and touched that I receive one of her handmade cards... and in my favourite color!! She also packaged everything well. Check out that paper bag.. hehehe ^^ Thank you Marlene. You made my day :) The Card Basic Grey Papers! And I received these pins @ work today. They are going into my Starbucks collection. Aren't they pretty? I just love all the starbucks designs :)
