Day Out with Mum & Sis (Part 1)

Mum dropped by 2 weeks ago. I'm always excited whenever any family member visits me. We spent the day shopping and watching movie. It was mum's first movie in KL and also for 'orang', my mum's partner for her trip. Madagascar is really funny. Cute characters, good jokes and great animation. Highly recommended for those who haven't watch it. We had a great laugh in the movie and afterwards decided to take some funny pictures for fun :p

Happy Birthday Luzhou!!

Luzhou has been a great friend and shelter in many teenager's life. I'm so glad I have been one of them. With just a blink, it's been 10 years already since its been established. WOW! Since its such a big day, I felt that I should contribute something as I could not make it back already :( So I made this and give to bro and sis in church whose lives have been touched by Luzhou before. I made it following their theme for the celebration "爱, 改变生命 (Love, changes lives)". By the way, they are having a concert in Miri. Those in Miri who are interested can contact Luzhou for more info. Or you could click on the link below (A blog post by Ah Jun, one of the staffs in Luzhou). Luzhou Concert A little message for Luzhou: You have an important place in my heart, as one of my best friendships starts from here. Thanks for companying as I was growing. Thanks for the wonderful memories. May God continue to bless you in influencing teenagers in Miri ^^. Happy Birthday!! Gambat

Christmas Caroling @ Samosa Cafe

Pandan & Connaught Gospel Chapel will be caroling at Samosa Cafe this Christmas. So if you are in KL, we hope to see you there :)

My Favourite Things

I was pretty down today and suddenly remembered this song and started singing it. Then I tried to think of my favourite things and I didnt feel so bad anymore. Many times I spend so much attention on unhappy things that I forgot about my simple favourite things, like another whole new day from God, this rainy weather with cool breeze, an sms from my best friend, and many more. I chose to upload the unfinished movie version, because I feel its more 'original'. Hehe. Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens brown paper packages tied up with strings these are a few of my favorite things Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels door bells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings these are a few of my favorite things Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes silver white winters that melt into springs these are a few of my favorit

An Evening @ Pyramid

Met up with Jo and Scott yesterday for dinner. We had Carl's Jr. (THE best burger I think I've ever had so far). After that we took some pictures with the christmas deco. I love Christmas deco. Well, to be exact, I love all things christmas. Hehehe.

Birthday Cards for Colleagues

Azliza is our new colleague and probably the sweetest colleague I've ever met. So I made this sweet pinky card to suit her character a little ^^. Abu is also our new colleague who joined us with Azliza. However when his birthday was on the first few weeks he joined (back in October) and nobody knew it was his birthday. So, I thought of making a card for him to 'ganti balik'. Sorry its late Abu. Hope your birthday was a happy one.

Scrapbooking Stores in Malaysia

Last updated 14th March 2014 I first did this research back in 2008.  I was very surprised and excited to find scrapbooking and craft shops blooming in Malaysia. I'm still grateful that we Malaysians are able to have have access to buy these supplies today.  I hope we will be able to get more and more brands into Malaysia.  ^^ I don't mind sharing these info as I believe "Sharing is Caring" and I would love to see more Malaysian crafters coming out with lovely production to enhance our local crafting market.  Also, I hope you all would pass on the information to other fellow beginners ^^ Anyways, this is a recent update I did of the shops I know/found.  Don't think its complete though.  Some are shops that I've personally found and visited while others are from research and some are recommended by friends or readers of my blog.  And from my very own personal experience, some of my personal favourite shops (in no particular order) are as below: Scr

Birthday Cards in November

Erica requested some birthday cards for her friends, and I came out with these purply, pink, green series. Hehehe (again, from not much color to choose from). I hope her friends will like them. I personally like the second one. We had a colleague at work birthday yesterday. Happy Birthday Ilyana! I printed some stickers to stick on my cards and envelopes. Nothing fancy, but i'm so excited!!..... ^^

It's that time of the year again (Part 3)

Made more cards this afternoon ^^. But looks kinda cacat though, especially the circles. Argh!!... Gonna write down 'round punch' for santa this year. Hahaha.

It's that time of the year again (Part 2)

Zoomed in photos of the cards posted yesterday. ^^

It's that time of the year again ^^

HO HO HO!... Yep its that time of the year again. With christmas round the corner, I thought I will make some cards for brothers and sisters serving in the missionaries. Got the inspiration from reading purpose driven life - using my talent to serve others, and to be interested in God's works. I used one type patterned paper and 3 blank colored paper (green, red and white), then I mixed and played around with different layouts. Marlene, if you are reading this, hope you don't mind i copied some of your layouts. Hahaha. I find your layouts simple and nice and good to recyle the left overs!! Anyways more cards to come. Will keep 'em posted. Probably I'll post the detailed photos tomorrow. Gotta rush for church now... Oops, I'm late!! :p

Oops! Happy Belated Birthday Marlene

Marlene got this really nice stamps for me from US. I was so excited!! Pleasant surprise. Thanks again Marlene ^^. I will use them to care for others, one of the main reason I like making cards. Sorry for the belated card. Hehe. It should be in one of the planes flying to your doorstep now. Hope you'll like it.

说好的幸福呢

My favourite song in the new album.

Do it NOW!

This is the exact devotional article from Purpose Driven Life devotional website. I find it so true on the 8 Phases of Procrastination. I decided that it's a good idea to share some devotional thoughts / findings here in my blog. I hope words from God that had helped me can also help others who visit my blog. :) This article is written by Rick Warren Most of us have experienced the 8 Phases of Procrastination: Phase 1: Hopeful – “I’ll start early this time.” Phase 2: A little tension – “I’ve got to start soon.” Phase 3: Creeping guilt – “I should have started sooner.” Phase 4: False reassurance – “There is still time to do it.” Phase 5: Getting desperate – “What’s wrong with me?” Phase 6: Intense pain – “I can’t wait any longer!” Phase 7: Get it over with – “Just get it done!” Phase 8: Cycle repeats – “Next time, I’ll start earlier.” Procrastination does tremendous damage to ourselves and others at work. It causes unnecessary pressure and problems … and it wastes opportunities, tim

Business Trip @ HCM, Vietnam

I spent last week working in HoChihMinh City, Vietnam, helping our customer install a cereal plant. It was a very good experience. There were funny times (talking & ordering food esp), tough times (the work), nice times (nice food ^^), and challenging times (working in different environment). Life in Vietnam reminds me of a simpler time during childhood. Most people are poor. My colleague and I were amazed by the quantity of motobikes and what they can do. Motobikes really can multitask there - carrying goods many times their size. After this trip, I realize I have been a very lucky child, given the priviledge to study and growing up in a comfortable environment. This is because we had kids (about age 12 i guess) working for us - cutting steel, doing welding work. May God bless Vietnam and the people there. _________________________________________________ This is the factory, where we work. Thanks a lot to Minh Tuan, Mr. Long and Mr. Hieu, our who guided us around the city, took c

Farewell for Chan

On the last day of October, we had a farewell for our colleague, Ah Chan. We had simple tea party, with some blueberry cheesecake, pisang goreng and soft drink. Chan has been working in our sister company, Family Cereal, for 5 years. Since there is no branch office in KL, he has been staying with us for 2 years. It was good having him around, helping us out setting up the new office, especially with our computers. He has been our IT manager. Haha. Now that he is leaving us to start up his own business, we wish him all the best for the future. Good Luck, Chan! Gambateh!

Breakfast @ Pandan

Last night dinner we has a lot of eggs left over. So I thought of making some not-so-french toast for breakfast this morning. This is a common breakfast my parents used to make when I was a kid, making me miss my family when I make and eat them. Using my phone, I took a picture of some brothers and sister having breakfast (without them noticing) haha. Oh ya, some of you might wonder where this is. This is the hall where we have our service in Pandan Church. Due to inconvenience going to church in KL, brothers and sisters from the youth fellowship normally stay overnight in church. On Saturday evenings, one of us will cook dinner and Sunday morning's, we normally have bread or maggie. Nothing so special about the food, but I guess its the enjoyment of fellowship and company of each other that makes us come back again week after week. Not-so-French Toast Recipe (if anyone interested): Ingredients 1 loaf of bread 3-4 eggs (depend on the size) Milk (approx. 1/4 cup) Sugar (approx 2 tb

Missing Home~~~

I was browsing through my folders and found these digital scrapbook I made last year. Oh, I miss my family so much. Can't wait to go home and see those faces again.

Cards for Brothers

I made this card as a thank you for a brother who bought 恩之颂's concert tickets and give to me because he couldn't make it. However, I ended up letting to others also because I have to work :(, but I was still grateful for it. We celebrated birthday's for 2 brothers last weekend: 明涌 (1st Nov) and Timothy a.k.a 小飞机 (2nd Nov). We yamcha at 不见不散 and ordered the ice cream toast with candles on them to replace the cakes. Its a pity we forgot to take pictures. Anyways I made cards for them. May God bless them in their studies, everyday life in KL and of course, spiritual lives also. I have been making card using pink and green a lot (because that is the main colors i got so far :p). Then I thought it would be fun to take a picture of them together. Feel a bit sorry for the guys to give them such 'pink' stuff. :p
