One Friday Evening......

I took these pictures last Friday evening. The sky is breath-taking. :) You might wonder where on earth could i take pictures like these in KL? Scroll down and you'll see. LOL. Yeah, I was bored and tried to utilize my boredom ^^ Also, while taking these pics, I realize that when we face problems ahead, if we do not focus on the problem and try to look up, we could see something very beautiful ^^

Farewell Gifts

Being lost for words to write appreciation emails, I thought it would be a better idea to give my colleagues something memorable to remember me by :) So i designed some photo's of my farewell party, developed them out and attached with some local gifts from my hometown in Sarawak. All the gifts are native handcrafts. Just sent them out and they all seem pretty happy and appreciate it. . .. Mission accomplished! ^^

Happy Birthday SiiKeng!

Last night we celebrated SiiKeng's birthday by having a very quality steamboat buffet @ Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao. We ate for more than 3 hours (i think) and we were the first to reach but last to leave. Yeah ... damn it WE CAN EAT!! (quote from Joey in 'friends'). Sii Keng is a brother in Pandan who joined our fellowship last year and was baptized early this year (yeah!). To me, he is a guy with a kind heart and lives his life with passion. It's been great to have him with us, and everybody enjoy having him around :) Happy Birthday brother! Wishing you all the best in everything in the coming year.

My Farewell Party

Yorker Sdn Bhd - I've been working in this company for the past two and a half years. I've learnt and grew a lot (in knowledge, and maybe size, AHEM~) in this company. After decided to leave and to pursue my dreams (yea, finally got the gutts to do it...*wink*) this is a farewell party they threw me last Friday. It was a simple but very delicious, casual lunch. And not only lunch, but also I received the most touching gifts. First is a paper weight from the workshop - modified from our company's very first badge of man hole handle. It's engraved with Yorker's brand on top, very very nice. Knowing that I like playing the piano, my second gift is a crystal music box in shape of a grand piano from my colleagues. My very first grand piano!!! Woohoo!! ^^ And this is the best part - there is a picture of the engineering team and company logo embedded on the grand piano! It's really sweet of them to get me something so memorable in the form of something I really like.

IKA

Thanks to Mike's linking in facebook, I got to know a wonderful voice. Very relaxing, crisp, soothing voice... I feel like floating in the clouds when I listen to her... She also shows very unique personality in her self introduction.... 有个性,我喜欢! Check her out... :) http://www.myspace.com/ikasound Information below is abstracted from youtube: Music Performance by Ika IkaOrganic and natural, this is a female singer/songwriter with the perfect kind of presence for this easy listening brand of music. With a voice that is undeniably confident and mature, she effortlessly breathes new life into her acoustic sounding collection of songs that can be enjoyed over and over.

Badge Bookmark

This is something requested by Mom for her church ministry. This is a bookmark that looks like a badge. Her idea, my design & workmanship... hehehehe.

Birthday Celebration

This is the continued post for Pandan's birthday celebration. Just some random candid's here and there to share with you all.

Cards for May-to-Sept Babies

I made 12 cards last Saturday for Pandan Church Fellowship's May-to-Sept birthday babies. I was out of inspiration and did some research..... Then I found this great project by Jen Del Muro at i {heart} 2 Stamp and decided to frame it. I didn't do an as good job as she did, but I'm still pretty happy with my cards. I also managed to put smiles on a few faces that night, so I'm glad ^^ Also, a couple that received them sent me an e-card the next day saying thank you and that they appreciate the card very much... I was melted to the tips of my toes.....hehehe... Alrighty then, let's check them out. (Sorry for the poor quality pics, it was a rainy day)

The Power of Positive Thinking

WARNING: This is a Looooooong Post :P I'm reading a book titled "The Power of Positive Thinking" by Norman Vincent Peale. Actually this is a book i bought on 20th July, 2002 and didn't finish it for some reasons that I don't remember. Then lately, out of the blue, I took it out to read it all over again, hopefully being able to finish it this time :P Neways, that's the history of the book and me. I'm at chapter 2 now and I came across a very unique practice of a man. It reads: It is possible, even in the midst of your daily work, to drive confident thoughts into consciousness. Let me tell you about one man who did so by the use of a unique method. One icy winter morning he called for me at a hotel in a Midwestern city to take me about thirty-five miles to another town to fill a lecture engagement. We got into his car and started off at a rather high rate of speed on the slippery road. He was going a little faster than I thought reasonable, and I reminded h

Delight in Life

This is a requested retirement card. One of my friend's manager is retiring, but according to her, he is still energetic and full of dream. So I made him a cheerful card, to wish him happiness :) The colorful paper did most of the work for me - one of the reasons I'm willing to spend on nice papers. Save you a lot of headache in designing :P This card is made from the left over scrap paper from the card on top. Just make a random birthday card for my shop la. Hehehe... Also, I was trying out my new flower punch... ^^

Wendy's Good Ol' Baked Potatos

Mom loves the big baked potatos in Wendy's. She loves them until she can eat them 3 days in a row, and still enjoying them AND still eat until sooooo clean.... check out the skins man! And this was one of the lunch we had. 1 baked potato, 3 nuggets, 1 soda drink, 1 strawberry milkshake.. for only RM7.35 ^^ Well, basically when you dine at Wendy's, you can use back the receipt to claim a strawberry milkshake for free at your next purchase within one week. When you redeem your milkshake, you get another receipt, with which you can redeem in your next purchase.. and the cycle goes on. Hahaha..... Ok, enuf for the advert. I'm still drooling for the milkshake..... mmmm~~~~
