It's Okay to be Broken

The reno guys took down the garage roof which has been standing for the past 30 years.  Our home kinda looks broken now but its meant for the better.  This picture makes me think of life in general, where everybody has a dark side and is broken in some way, but its okay cuz despite our brokenness, God still loves us unconditionally and eternally and very often we are broken so that we can humbly bring glory to Him.   Love this picture.  Dad was cleaning the debris with a sore swollen leg.  Truly think I have a great dad ^^ On the street, where we live.

Random #9

We were worried seeing a beehive on our mango and decided to smoke it.  This is the first time I've ever seen a fresh one and hold it for myself.  Did a little further cleaning again.  And purposely cleaned this pair of old sofas and washed their covers to make a comfortable sitting place in my craft room. ^^  And had prayer meet.  So thankful for a prayer buddy like her.  We shared and she suggested writing a breakout prayer.  So glad I did it.  Super enjoyed it and recharged.  Looking forward for more  to come :)

Take Life One Cup at a Time

Take life one cup at a time. Today's devotional notes: God loves me in my brokenness.  Having to struggle all my life accepting myself, this is so comforting and assuring to know.   The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.  Psalm 34:18 NIV  Happy Monday guys!

Easter Sunday 2014

This will be a back dated post.  Wana blog this because I want to remember this day :D   Easter Sunday started with Sunday service at church, with Rev Xia's sermon reminding us that good news could come from the grave.   Because He lives, we have a reason to live :)  During the afternoon, GBOX had an egg distribution event at Kampung Baru Pujut 7, together with photos of the classes we took the day before.  I was in charged of red eggs.... and this is my first time to suceed in dying eggs.  So satisfied ^^  I used to fail dying them properly, always my hands were all red before the eggs are.  Actually it's REAL simple....vinegar is the solution! Recipe HERE .  It was a fruitful day distributing the eggs and see the charming smiles on the kids faces.... Urgh I forgot to take pictures!!!  At the end of the day, my sweet Dad organized a BBQ dinner at church for GBOX volunteers.  Yummy!!!!  What a blessed day...

GBOX Sunday School Prep

GBOX is having a six weeks Sunday School program as a follow up project the kids we reached out last year at Kampung Baru Pujut 7.  I am responsible to prepare one of the week's lesson with the theme of 'Faith'.  After some research, I decided to use the story of Jesus walking on water.  Well, I've never taught any kids before, so this is my first time prepare a lesson plan for kids, let alone a Sunday school one with crafts.  Wow, it's seriously not as easy as I thought it would be!  Does require a lot of thoughts and work in it.  Anyways, I tried out the crafts myself to have an idea of the time required and also to be aware of any difficulties which might occur, and........... these are my works.  Kinda have fun making them, makes me feel like a kid again :)  And Jun came over to help me with the box file stickers.... always a blessing to have an extra hand!! ^^

Kids Prayer

I'm preparing sunday school materials for the upcoming class for GBOX ministry.  I'm searching for stuff with the theme faith or spiritual growth.  As I'm browsing through prayers, I found this video which really touched me.  I've been a christian all my life for 32 years and throughout the years after praying and listening to countless prayers, many a times I tend to pray cliche prayers or fancy words prayers  (esp with people).  This video reminds me of the innocence and simple sincere requests or doubts of kids in their conversation with God.  So simple.  My prayer: Dear Lord, please grant me innocence to pray again, like these kids.  Kids Prayers from Granger Community Church on Vimeo . Putting Others First

Found myself feeling very guilty for buying KFC home today and tempted my old grandma to eat at her sleeping hour time.  Having KFC while watching comedy used to be my utmost relaxing / enjoying thingy to do at home.  Neways, lesson learnt, no more KFC at home.  For the good of others, I need to cut this enjoyment for myself.  Well, probably its good for myself not to eat junk food at this hour too :p Giving myself away....... not an easy lesson.  Setting aside my likes and interest for the benefit of others will be a life-long challenge for me.  I'm no Mother Teresa and never will be.  But thank you Jesus for such a good example Himself (John 3:16) to encourage me in living a life of sacrifice.
