Jessica Joy Rees

Found out about this charming little girl who's fighting cancer from one of my devotionals . Her dad is a pastor in Saddleback Church. I'm moved and inspired by her joy, courage and determination to Never Ever Give Up (NEGU) which is her motto which later becomes the name of her foundation. Such positiveNesS! Wow! Anyways, she has a website and also, she is running a Joy Jar project reaching out to kids fighting cancer, read about it here .

MIB - Muji in Black

I went selling at a Bazaar last week. And it has been the most assuring one I've been to so far, as there were people who REALLY look at my work and buy them. Strangers for crying out loud! ^^ Anyways, this transformed Muji below is one of my productions that I made to sell at the bazaar and a lady bought it! She bought it for her daughter who loves to write and currently studying in another city for the first year. So thoughtful of her to send her something sweet. She requested that I hand stamp some encouraging quotes inside for her. So I took it back, stamped the inside, added her name (to make it special) and sew a packaging bag as well. Hope Hazirah will like it. Muji in Black ^^ Customized with her name. Starting to fall in love with pearls, influenced by Marlene and Liza I think ^^ Hand stamped quotes inside Semi Transparent Bag to Hold the Book Finished with a tag With a blank backside so she can write a note for her daughter maybe

I Like Things Dirty

I like things dirty on my crafts. Find it hard to keep my productions clean. Made this for my kaki who's into hard rock music. I love rugged stuff and thank God for friends who appreciate some dirty old ruggedness. With that, I have a good reason to really distress and roughen every corner. Really enjoyed myself there. ^^ The Card Distress, distress, distress! ^^ Layered stamping and chalked edges. And oh, can you see that star brad? That's one of my favourite. And its a gift from Liza . Kinda goofed this up. However since everything is supposed to be dirty, so it still look quite ok :) A matching bookmark as a tag for the gift And a group picture (i like this picture :D) Some of my favourite things finished with a dash of sarcasm (oops :p) The gift - rugged guitar strap with 'rockin' bible verses. I personally like it very much. Different verses through out Ends with an awesome cross ^^ Ok, finally got this post up. Been meaning to post this since last week...

Father's Day

Celebrated the day by inviting some close friends over for steamboat dinner at home. Just some simple food, a liiiiiiiiiiiiitle beer, and lots of chatter. I'm glad to be around during this day to celebrate for my dad. I think I might just have the greatest dad EVER. Hope you áll had a great and warm celebration too :)

Father's Day Cards

I bought Technique Tuesday's Ali Edward [Dad Rocks] clear stamps and I just love playing with them. Trying out some different color combinations too. Made these for my dad and also some brothers (mostly my dad's friends) at church. Happy browsing! Made this for a friend to give her husband. (Their first father's day this year) This is my favourite, so its for my own daddy ^^ Made this for a brother who's like a dad to us in church This is for my daddy's buddy who we invited over to celebrate with us This is for my KaiGo

All You Need is LOVE

Heartfelt blessings to my 2 old friends :) Glad to be part of their big day.

Met up a New Friend!

Met up with a new friend 2 days ago ^^ . This is Vivien, one of my mum's partners. And guess what? She's a fellow scrapbooker as well! Been hearing a lot about her from my mum and finally we meet. Hope we can play together soon! :) Before we meet, I quickly made her this notebook. Was told by my mum she likes things rugged. We have the same taste! How cool is that? ^^ The Cover Using the [rock & roll] technique learnt from Liza ^^ Customizing with her name (seriously loving that Billboard die) Hand stamped verses on the pages again. (She is also a sister ^^) Used some tracing paper to do the packaging Outcome turns out to be quite pleasant i think :)

Somethin' for My Baby Sister

I promised my sister to handmade a diary for her. Meant to handmade the whole thing actually, sewing the pages and everything, but figured won't be able to make it in time for my mum to bring her tomorrow. So ended up dressed up one of my favourite MUJI notebook. Kinda messed up the cover a bit with inconsistent stamping. But still made with all my heart. Can't wait for her to get it tomorrow ^^ playing with my flower punch, love it to bits ^^ customized for her ONLY A really cute stamp ^^ Hand stamped verses inside on every page One of my favourite verse Made with lotsa love .... missing her terribly as usual 03 June 2011: She received it! Yayy! ^^
